If you currently have a cold sore, or feel one starting to develop, we kindly ask that you do not attend your dental appointment until it has completely healed. Cold sores are highly contagious and can easily spread through close contact during dental treatment.

A cold sore typically begins with a tingling or itching sensation around the lips before developing into a blister. During this time, the virus is very active and can pose a risk of infection to both staff and other patients. Dental treatment may also aggravate the area and delay healing.

If you notice a cold sore before your appointment, please contact our reception team to rearrange your visit. We will be happy to find you a new appointment once the cold sore has fully healed. Your understanding helps us keep both our patients and team safe.
